What story does your mind tell you about who you are?

Maybe it whispers that you’re worthless because of past mistakes, that you’re alone because of current circumstances, or that you’re powerless because of ongoing struggles.

These internal narratives can be incredibly powerful, shaping how we see ourselves and how we live. But what if the story your mind tells you isn’t the true story? What if there’s a better, truer narrative about your identity that can transform everything? In Christ, you have a completely new identity.

Where your mind says you’re an orphan, Christ says you’re adopted into God’s family. Where your thoughts tell you you’re enslaved to sin and shame, Christ declares you’re free. Where you feel purposeless and insignificant, Christ reveals you’re part of His unstoppable plan. This isn’t just positive thinking or self-help psychology – this is gospel truth.

When you trusted in Christ, everything about your fundamental identity changed.

You’re no longer defined by your past, your failures, your circumstances, or your feelings. You’re defined by your relationship with Christ. The key is learning to replace the lies in your head with the truth of who you are in Christ.

When shame tries to define you, remember you’re redeemed. When fear tries to control you, remember you’re secure. When purposelessness tries to discourage you, remember you’re part of God’s eternal plan. This transformation from head to heart, from lies to truth, should ignite worship in your soul.

When you truly grasp who you are in Christ, your heart can’t help but praise Him for His incredible grace and love.
